…….As Osayande lists Achievement
The Chairman, Ikpoba-Okha Local Government Council, Dr Eric Osayande, has declared open a 3-day fodder production training in Idogbo community, to Set the Pace on Agricultural Exporters Cluster initiatives.
According to the letter Transmitted by the Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Edo State, to the Council, stated that it (Ikpoba Okha), will provide the necessary materials and a cleared land where grasses, legumes for Animals Fodder planting will be demonstrated in due course
While declaring the event open recently, the Council Chairman, Dr Osayande informed that his administration has established projects across the Ten wards of the Local Government Area.
His Words: “We have done so many things to benefit people in the geographically separated areas we have farmlands; we have established projects across the ten (10) Wards in education, agriculture, health, electricity, human capacity development, and others”
Not done, Osayande added, “In-between, for you to have farm settlement, you must have a health centre, we have renovated many health centres, we have furnished them and we have provided drugs and ensure that nurses are working”.
The Council Chairman, however, assured the delegation of his commitment to the continuous implementation of policies and programmes aimed at strengthening the agricultural fortunes of Ikpoba-Okha Local Government Area, noting that; “agriculture is the way”
Earlier on his part, the Senior Special Assistant to Edo State Governor on Agriculture, Comrade Bashiru Kadiri, lauded the fodder production training whilst commending the Dr Eric Osayande-led administration for creating the enabling environment for the training exercise
Kadiri noted that the choice of Ikpoba-Okha to host the training is a test statement of Osayande’s vision at institutionalizing progressive and developmental governance at the grassroots.
The Governor’s Senior Special Assistant hailed Osayande for his policies at developing agriculture in the Local Government Area
The training ran between January, 21st – 23rd, 2020 were other Local Governments had been advised to send Animal and crop farmers, aimed at stepping down the training to other LGAs
