It is very hard to be the President of a country at old age. It means people will think for you and make decisions. Your body is degenerating fast and like our old grandparents, they just have to be maintained to stay a bit longer.
It is God’s way of limiting the days of humans and curbing our excesses – the world is ephemeral.
Those close to Buhari are taking advantage of his aging decline and making Nigeria ungovernable. I don’t pity him though, because in Africa, rather than resign, they prefer to die on the throne. Unfortunately for him, whatever the country becomes will be in his name and era, not in the name of Garba Shehu, Gambari etc.

If things deteriorate at the present rate, elections may not hold in 2023. INEC and NYSC ad-hoc staff will have to put their lives on the line in 2023. Police officers will be randomly targeted as it’s happening in the South South and South East.
Elections will not hold in many local governments and politicians will spit fire because of their own greed again. Nigeria is in it’s final hours as an indivisible entity. WE ARE AT WAR.
Asking Buhari to implement the Confab report on restructuring is like talking to a man that can’t hear. A man who could have been retired to his farm at old age suddenly finds himself leading a country of 200m people. He can’t give what he doesn’t have. He’s going to live Nigeria a fragile, poverty stricken, more divided than he met it. He’s the Commander-In-Chief but not in command. He’s lost the baton and just struggling to get to the finish line.
The monster they created to remove Jonathan is too big and ready to consume all. We’ve not had it good in terms of leaders, but we’ve never had it so bad. As a people who still pray, we can only plead for God’s mercy for “the matter is beyond the king.”
