Remi Tinubu’s ‘Thug’ comment and shouting altercations is a symptom of Nigeria’s ‘Agbero’ politics

Apologies to bus conductors in Lagos and members of NURTW who run after buses to collect money from commuters in a rude, uncut manner.

Except that Nigeria’s politicians don’t run after buses, many of them are what’s essentially wrong with people in governance.

A viral video revealed how the Senator representing Lagos Central, Oluremi Tinubu was involved in a shouting match with some Nigerians who attended the event at the Marriot Hotel in Lagos.

Tinubu is leading the Senate Committee on Review of the 1999 Constitution in the South-West.

Altercations occurred when a yet-to-be-identified woman was denied entry into the venue. The woman, who protested her exclusion from the venue, was flayed by Mrs. Tinubu for being “rude”.

Some Nigerians at the scene subsequently asked the senator to apologise to her but Mrs. Tinubu said, “I will not apologise for what I said. I saw it and I said it.”

The wife of the APC Chieftain, Bola Ahmed Tinubu insisted she was not going to apologize to a “thug.” Where’s the code of conduct tribunal for public servants in Nigeria? It is just an agency and its own Chairman has not answered to his public embarrassment.
