Professor Edoba Bright Omoregie (SAN) has been appointed the eleventh Vice Chancellor of the University of Benin.
Professor Edoba was presented with the letter of appointment by the Pro-chancellor of the Ivory Tower, Prof. Shaibu Umaru, after a brief meeting of the governing council on Friday
Presenting the letter of appointment to Professor Edoba Bright Omoregie, SAN, the Pro-Chancellor of the University of Benin, Prof Shaibu Umaru said out of twenty-seven candidates interviewed Prof. Edoba Omoregie performed better.
The Pro-Chancellor expressed the hope that Professor Omoregie will take the university to another level.
In an interview, Professor Edoba said he was humbled by the new appointment and assured that he would do his best to ensure that the University of Benin continues to rank among the best in the country.
Born on April 5, 1969, Professor Edoba Bright Omoregie, SAN as a professor of law, has served in several committees and bodies.
He was a Technical Adviser to the House of Representatives Ad-Hoc Subcommittee to Investigate the Duplication of Functions of Agencies of the Federal Government, National Assembly Abuja, in June 2022.

Prof Edoba Omoregie is married to Prof.
Ehimwenma Omoregie and has four children.
