Pere Egbi, a Nollywood actor, disputed a report claiming he and Rashida Bello, the current First Lady of Kogi State, were having an affair.

The former Big Brother Naija housemate called the revelation a "demonic lie" in a tweet on Tuesday.

He also threatened to sue Jackson Ude, a Nigerian-American journalist who published the report on Twitter.

"For the record, the publication about the First Lady of Kogi State and me is a diabolical falsehood and a fiction of a twisted imagination of Jackson Ude and others retweeting such garbage," the reality TV star wrote.

"They must answer me in court both in Nigeria and in the United States of America, where he is based."

In a tweet, Ude said that rumours were circulating in Abuja that Pere and Rashida Bello, the wife of Kogi State Governor and presidential hopeful Yahaya Bello, were lovers.

"Why is #BBNaija Pere Egbi all over the place with Kogi First Lady Rashida Bello? Gist around Abuja says that they are lovers. Egbi and Mrs Bello are said to have been sighted severally at the Hilton Hotel, Abuja. The gist is that when they first met, First Lady gifted Egbi N5 million," Ude claimed.

The tweet has now been deleted but has gone viral.
