Doctor says I have 5 more years to live - Actress Kemi Afolabi speaks on ailment

Kemi Afolabi, a Nollywood actress, has spoken out about her 'incurable' illness, admitting that she has lupus.

The actress also revealed that the doctor told her she only had five years to live in a recent interview with show presenter Chude Jideonwo, published on Friday.

She said that she had only lived one year following the doctor's announcement and that she didn't know how much longer she had.

"Make sure you're with your loved ones," Afolabi's doctor advised, according to Afolabi. At the very least, you have another five years."

"I have lupus," she answered when asked about her illness. It can't be cured. "All you have to do now is take your medications for the rest of your life."

She stated that she spent N1.2 million on a treatment that did not work because she was in constant pain.
