Nigerian Pastor Tobi Adeboyega sparks outrage after seen in nightclub spraying Davido

Tobi Adeboyega, a Nigerian pastor, based in the United Kingdom, has sparked outrage online after he was spotted spraying Davido with pounds sterling at a nightclub.

The award-winning musician was singing at a club in the United Kingdom when the notorious cleric began showering him with bundles of pounds sterling, collected by one of the singer’s crew members.

Social media users have had different reactions to the viral video, with some criticizing him for going to a nightclub while being a pastor. Church and club, according to netizens, do not mix.

Pastor Tobi founded Salvation Proclaimers Anointed Church (SPAC Nation), a Pentecostal church in the United Kingdom.

A social media commentator, @matthewmensah, wrote,“1. You are a ‘Pastor”, 2. You are in a nightclub, 3. You are spraying money in bundles to a properly the richest celebrity in Nigeria…. I would not pay 1 Kobo again in tithe in that church if that was me going to that church… What a big WOW… SMH”

The pastor reacted immediately in a video posted on his official Instagram page that he doesn’t care what Nigerians say.

According to him, Nigerians wouldn’t be complaining if they had met him at a younger age.

“You dey craze, If I was younger me, the day you saw us spraying it would have been even more but I’m no longer that young,” he said in his video.

Adegboyega added that he went to a restaurant for his pastor’s wedding and he met Davido and other people there.
