A 35-year-old man, simply identified as Abule, has been arrested for allegedly defiling a 12-year-old girl in the Araromi area of Molete, Ibadan.
The alleged victim, who was hawking snacks, was lured by Abule into an uncompleted building where he allegedly defiled her.
The state Police Public Relations Officer, Ayanlade Olayinka, said in a statement on Saturday that the 12-year-old girl, whose identity is not disclosed due to her age, was lured while trying to collect payment for goods sold.
