35-year-old Businessman Murdered For Ritual In Delta

On the 21st of November, 2020, an Igarra born 35-years-old Sunday Eneshero of Edo state travelled to Warri in Delta state to attend a funeral ceremony but unknown to him that his death was just a few minutes away.

His life was cut short by some persons who allegedly chopped off his head and hands for alleged money ritual process.

Sunday Eneshoro was returning from Warri in Delta state in public transport but got stuck at Koko junction, same Delta state.

The situation prompted him to stay by the roadside to connect another vehicle going to Benin city.

The report further revealed that, while waiting at the roadside shouting “Benin” to every vehicle driving past around 7 pm, some persons approached him and asked him to follow them.

Hê was said to have put up minimal resistance, but it could not save him as he was dragged to a large trench at the roadside and murdered on the spot by the said, four persons.

His head and hands were severed and later taken to a native doctor in the locality for alleged money rituals.

After waiting for Twenty Four hours without having him back home, the family members then contacted the policemen from the Anti Kidnapping Squad of the Edo state police command where he was declared missing through the electronic media.

Using high technical intelligence, men of the Anti Kidnapping Squad recovered his mobile phone.

When the police opened their Investigation, the PRINCIPAL SUSPECT Peace Onashakpokaye, 25, was arrested.

The suspect told the police that the said Sunday Eneshoro has been killed and the body severed.

Eneshoro later took the police team and health officials to recover the body that was already decomposing.

Hê went further to say that, the body parts were requested by a man in Koko Delta state who paid them the sum of N130,000.

He told the police that the man who allegedly contracted the four of them for the act is into Internet Fraud popularly called ” YAHOO-YAHOO”.

He confessed that the severed body parts were given to a native doctor in the area who promised to use it for money rituals.

He expressed regrets over their action.

The Edo state commissioner of police, Johnson Babatunde Kokumo who confirmed the incident said the young man was abducted and murdered in Delta state but the police in Edo state command intervened because he was declared missing in Edo.

CP Kokumo promised that a dragnet has been extended to all parts of the country in order to arrest the fleeing gang members.
