Abba Kyari Buried In Abuja

Abba Kyari, the Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari has been laid to rest in Abuja.

The burial was done on Saturday morning after the Presidency announced his death via Twitter on Friday evening.

His remains were brought in an ambulance to the Defence House in Abuja where family members and colleagues observed as he was buried.

Though the Presidential spokesman, Garba Shehu said the burial will be private, a Video of the burial showed by Channels TV showed a reasonable number of gathering with many observing without masks and gloves.

The social distancing as one of the measures placed by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control was not also observed at the burial.

Kyari died on Saturday, according to the Presidency, from COVID-19 complications.

The late Chief of Staff tested positive for the COVID-19 in March. Days after, he released a video assuring the people that he was well.

He was later transferred to a private clinic in Lagos where he later died.
