The Nigerian Presidency says the funeral of its Chief of Staff, Abba Kyari will not be opened to the public.
This was disclosed in an interview on Saturday by its spokesman Garba Shehu.

According to Shehu, the government will follow the measures placed by the Federal Government and the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control.
It could be recalled that the gathering of people had been banned and the NCDC recommended social distancing to curb the spread of the Virus.
Speaking on Saturday, Garba said “Nobody is safe from it (COVID-19). Allow me to use this opportunity to announce that the funeral that will be done shortly from now and the burial that will follow are strictly private.
“Please, the members of the public are advised to stay and observe the NCDC regulations and those announced by the Federal Ministry of Health.
“After this event, there will be no ceremony such as receiving of condolence messages, people must observe the existing regulations as put in place by NCDC and the Federal Ministry of health.”
The wife to the late Chief of staff will only see the body of her husband before he is buried, according to Shehu’s disclosure.
