Abduction: Whereabout of Benue Commissioner unknown

Ekpe Ogbu, the housing and urban development commissioner for the state of Benue, has been abducted.

He was taken hostage together with the Honorable Agbo Ode, a relative of his, and the driver.

They were allegedly taken hostage while traveling from Otukpo to Utonkon in the Ado Local Government Area of the state along David Marks Farm, following Akpa Otobi.

After attending a church service at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Otukpo, where Senator Abba Moro, who represents the Benue South Senatorial District, dedicated his newly inaugurated campaign council to God, the commissioner was reportedly headed to his village in NDEKMA, Utonkon District of Ado LGA when the unfortunate incident occurred at around 8:45 p.m. on Sunday, December 4, 2022.

Since then, his work vehicle has been located at the spot and sent to the Divisional Police station in Otukpo.
