The Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), says its Vice Chairman (South-east), Dr. Chudi Nwike, was kidnapped in Anambra State yesterday, and the kidnappers want N30million in foreign currency for his release.

Raising the alarm in a statement in Lagos by its National Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, the party quoted Nwike’s younger brother, who has been contacted by the victim,as saying the kidnappers have demanded the ransom.

”We appeal to the security agencies to do everything within their power to ensure the safe release of Dr. Nwike, while assuring his family of our prayers and support at this very difficult time,” the statement said.
