Adamawa State Governor Ahmadu Fintiri says one COVID-19 patient who escaped from Gombe State has been arrested.
Two patients escaped from Isolation centre before the result of their samples could arrive from Abuja.
Fintiri said this on Sunday while briefing journalists in Yola, the State Capital
He said, “One was apprehended at Lamurde through our contact tracing mechanism.
“The second suspect told us on the phone that he was in Mubi but the technology proved he was around Gurore in Yola South; unfortunately, his phone line is no longer going through.”
The governor revealed that with the presence of the patient, Adamawa now has a total of 5 confirmed cases of Coronavirus.
He also relaxed the locked he imposed last week with a curfew from 8 a.m to 6 pm.
Fintiri directed that all civil servant from level 12 upward resume work from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm.
