Al-Shabaab Kills Four People In Garissa

Four people died on Wednesday in an attack allegedly staged by Al Shabaab militants in Bura East Sub-County in Garissa, Kenya's North Eastern.

The deceaseds were part of a convoy of Kenya National Highway Authority (KeNHA) engineers who were on a routine assessment of the LAPSSET Road.

The suspected militants reportedly placed an IED on the Old Lapsset Road, which exploded, destroying completely one of the vehicles.

"The other vehicles turned back to Hailey camp. The team was travelling from Garissa to Hailey Chinese Camp then to Bura East," said police.

Three bodies have been found, and the fourth body was believed to have been completely destroyed in the vehicle.

Manhunt for the attackers has been launched.
