Armed Robbers Kill Female POS Operator In Benin

An operator of Point Of Sales Shop(POS) was on Friday shot dead by some suspected armed robbers in Benin City, the Edo State capital. 

The POS operator’s identity could not be ascertained as at the time of filing this report. 

 According to information by Crime Correspondent, Festus Alenkhe, the incident happened at Godwin Abbey Way, off Sapele road in Benin city.

The armed men reportedly stormed the centre at exactly 12:50 PM on Friday 4 December 2020 and went straight to the young girl in her early twenties who was operating the POS shop.

Festus Alenkhe who just left the scene of the incident a moment ago reports that, the hoodlums after collecting her money, mobile phones and other personal items still shot the young girl dead on the spot.

The reason for the killing even after they had successfully robbed her could not be easily ascertained.

The dare devil armed men later zoomed off towards the Sapele road end of Benin city.

The death of the young girl attracted some sympathisers who described the deceased as a young promising girl who was into POS business to make ends meet.
