Auchi man arrested with explosives in Edo State
Police have arrested three people involved in the transportation of suspected explosives.
According to the police, Fugar Police Division in Etsako Central local government area, Auchi made the arrest on Wednesday, 18 May.

The main suspect, Michael Akhigbe, 46, who was in a Sienna bus with ten other passengers, was intercepted along Auchi-Agenebode Road.
During a search, officers spotted some items suspected to be explosives in Michael’s bag – a native of Iyuku Uzairue, Auchi, Edo State.

The items recovered from the suspect are; 5 high explosive 60mm and 50 supreme card relay.
Michael is cooperating with the police’s investigation, and two more suspects, Yesufu Blessing (M), 45, and Haruna Braimah (M), 35, both natives of Iyuku Uzairue, have been arrested.
The CP directed the command’s Explosive Ordinance Disposal Unit (EOD) to take over the recovered explosive device for technical analysis while the investigation continued.
Edo State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Bello Kontongs, assured the people that the three suspects would be charged to court accordingly.
