Bad luck for kidnappers as ransom freed victim spotted them in Afuze, Edo State

Edo police command has arrested two suspected kidnappers in Benin.

The alleged kidnappers, Ibrahim Abdullahi' M' (22) and Abubakar Babangida' M' (23), were arrested around Afuze forest in Owan East Local government area of Edo state.

Standard Gazette gathered that the kidnappers' luck ran out after one of their victims, who paid ransom to regain freedom in Afuze, spotted them and raised the alarm.

The police were called to the scene, and the duo were arrested. During interrogation, Usman and Mohammed, both of Erah Road camp in the area, confessed to the crime.

The alleged kidnappers named two other members of their gang, Ibrahim Abdullahi, 22 and Abubakar Babangida, 23.

Edo State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Bello Kontongs, said the suspects are undergoing investigation and would soon be charged.
