A human rights activist based in Benin, Comrade Kelly Osunbor, has reported an alleged threat to his life following a dispute over renovation payments within his community.
A trending video shows the activist shouting from the background against some youths believed to be from the Amagba community attacking his house.
The activist claims in the video that the attack on his house is due to his inability to pay a demanded amount, which has now led to intimidation and property damage.
The incident unfolded in the early hours of Tuesday when tensions escalated over renovation work on a security house on Osunbor’s property.

“According to him,the thugs were sent by a community leader named Ebo Amagba to his residence, resulting in the destruction of parts of his house, including shattered windows.”
Osunbor, however, said he has reached out to relevant authorities, expressing serious concerns for his safety and that of his family and property. He is calling for urgent intervention to prevent further harm.
An eyewitness also corroborated the allegations of Kelly Osunbor.
“I was coming, I saw some youths stoning the house of Kelly, and in the process I saw there were shattered window glasses on the ground while he was shouting from inside his house”
However, several calls were put across to the said Ebo Amagba, which were left unanswered. An inside source said Ebo Amagba, who he said was his chairman, would respond on a later day.
