Nigerian military restragization of the operation in the Northern part of Nigeria may have paid off as residents are providing useful information.
Less than 48 hours after Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen Ibrahim Attahiru, renamed Operation Lafiya Dole’ as Operation ‘Hadin Kai’ for mobilizing criticizal stakeholders’ a few arrest have been made.
The information has led to the arrest of some members of the Islamic State of West Africa Province (ISWAP) and Boko Haram apologists in the communities, according to PRNigeria report.
Some terrorists were arrested in Damaturu, Yobe State. The arrested suspects including terrorists, collaborators, including logistic and suppliers.
In an operation led by the Acting Commander of 154 Taskforce, Major Daniel Chiwar, the military arrested the suspects in their hideout at Balamari area of Ngamdu in Yobe State.
In a separate development, Members of the Boko Haram and Nigerian troops clashed in the Kala Balge area of Borno State.
The gun trucks owned by the terrorists were seized by the over-powering soldiers.
The onslaught was led by Lt. Colonel Samson Olashegbe of 3 Battalion.
