Boko Haram Video: Abducted CAN President Speaks From Captivity

The Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) Mr Lawan Andimi speaks from BOko Haram hideout where he is currently being held.

Andimi was abducted on January 3 following a raid in Michika, Adamawa State by Abubakar Shekau led terror group.

A convoy of truck with armed men with many dressed in miliatry camouflage invaded the town.

Sporadic gunshots were held all over the town as residents scampered for their lives.

The invaded reportedly operated unchecked for hours searching for food and other valuables before the military reinforced, engaged them in a fierce battle, forcing them to retreat.

In the short video obtained by Ahmad Salkida, the CAN President is seen pleading with his colleagues and the state governor of Adamawa State, Ahmadu Umoru Fintri to come to his rescue.

In the video that lasted for 1.47mins, Andini said "I have neer been discouraged because all condiction one finds himself is in the hands of God. God who made them to take care of me and live my life will still work.

"In summary of my speech, they respect that I should summarise it again in English, I am appealing to my colleagues, revs particularly my President Rev. Joel Billy which is a strong man, man of compassion, man of God to do all his best to speak to the governor, Umoru Fintiri and other necessary agents for my release here.

"These people have been good to me, they are feeding me with all what I want to eat, they have provided a nice place for me to sleep, blanket and every need, so I believe they didn't do anything wrong to me. I still believe that God who made them act in such a way is still alive and would make all arrangement, by the Grace of God, I will be together with my wife, children and my colleagues and if the opportunity has not been granted, maybe it is the will of God."

The CAN President who spoke very down urged his colleagues and well wishers to be patient and thank God for whatever happens.

"All persons, close and far, colleague and other wishers to be patient, don't cry, don't worry but thank God for everything. Thank you." he said.
