Breaking: Abducted Naval Students Regain Freedom In Edo

Four naval students and one mechanic who were abducted along Iruekpen-Ehor road in Edo State have regained freedom.

The Naval engineering students were from Sapele in Delta state.

The Edo State police command found them along Benin-Auchi road.

Standard Gazette learned that the students refused to let the police profile them as they walked out of sight.

The Mechanic who was among the abducted Naval student is with the police to give an account of his ordeal.

The kidnappers negotiated ransom with the families, however, SG is uncertain if a ransom was paid for their release.

Edo State Police Public Relations officer SP Bello Kontongs who confirmed the release said the students have rejoined their families.
