Ebikimi Okoringa, an aide of Bayelsa State Governor, Seriake Dickson have been murdered by gunmen suspected to be hired assassins.
Okoringa was recently inaugurated by the governor as a Special Adviser.

He was shot at his hometown in Kolokuma/Opokuma Local Government Area of the state.
According to a source in the community, the assassins waited for him to arrive, and shot him as he highlighted from his vehicle.
No one has yet to established the motive behind his death, however, the incident has created fear in the community.
“They waited for him under the cover of darkness. Immediately he alighted from his car and walked towards his door, they released the first bullet,” the source said.
