The Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu has bowed to pressure and announced the dissolution of the notorious Federal Special Anti -Robbery Squad, a unit of the Police Force.
Mr. Adamu in a broadcast on Sunday stated that the anti Robbery Squad will be redeployed to other police formations and commands.
The announcement came after The disbandment is coming on the heels of days of widespread protests across the country against the brutality and extra- judicial killings by SARS operatives.
