The ailing Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari has finally resumed work today as assured over the weekend.
Buhari who returned from his seven weeks medical leave from the United Kingdom on Friday had told Nigerians that he would resume on Monday.

Buhari, before flying to the United Kingdom, transferred power to the Vice President Yemi Osinbajo.
The President landed in Kaduna, then flew to the capital city, abuja by helicopter where he received a warm welcome from Osinbajo and top military command
In a letter written to the National Assembly on Monday, Buhari informed the NA that he is back to his duties as the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
He said “In compliance with Section 145 of the 1999 Constitution (as amended), the President has formally transmitted letters to the Senate and the House of Representatives, intimating the National Assembly “that I have resumed my functions as the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria with effect from Monday, March 13, 2017, after my vacation.”
How long his stay would last is unknown to the general public as the President hinted that he was much better but “may need follow-up care within the next few weeks.”
