Breaking: Female Police inspector murdered by thuggy neighbour in Uselu, Benin City
Uselu, Benin City - Residents of Uselu in Benin City were on Friday thrown into anarchy after a female police Inspector was murdered by her neighbour.
Standard Gazette is still gathering details of the event; however, the unidentified serving Nigerian policewoman had fallen out with his neighbour, who had threatened to kill her.
It was gathered that she had informed her colleagues and documented the threat, and the man, believed to be a gang member in Edo State, was immediately arrested.
The boy apologized and claimed he did not mean his threat. The compassionate Inspector begged her colleagues for his release with the condition of signing an undertaking to support his denial.
The yet-to-be-identified thug was granted bail. However, trouble started the following morning when he stormed the Inspector's residence with his gang members.
Standard Gazette gathered that the policewoman was stabbed several times and died on the spot. Her remain is deposited at a mortuary in Benin.
Meanwhile, the police have arrested her alleged attacker, and he is currently in custody. He has allegedly attributed the murder to anger.
The Edo state police command is yet to make any public statement on the incident.
