EFCC Chairman, Ibrahim Lamorde

The federal government has removed the chairman of the Economic Economic and Financial Crimes Comission, EFCC, Ibrahim Lamorde who had held the position since 2011.

The government replaced him with a top level of the Economic and Governance Unit of the commission, Ibrahim Magu.

Magu was removed along with several other key officials by Farida Waziri when she became chairman in 2008.

He is described a disciplinarian and no-nonsense investigator of the commission at its inception
