Breaking: Hungry Boko Haram Attacks Damboa In Borno

The Boko Haram insurgents are currently attacking Damboa the headquarters of a local government area in Borno.

According to villages account, the terrorists came in large numbers on Wednesday morning at about 6.30 and started shooting sporadically.

According to TheCable, an online medium, the Nigerian troops located at the 25 task force brigade in Damboa have been battling the insurgents for over an hour.

Quoting a source, it says “They came in plenty of Hilux trucks. We saw about 20 before we started running towards the bush.

“They came in two batches. One came in through the north Sambisa and the other from Alagaruno.

“Soldiers from the 25 task force came in about 30 minutes and right now, over an hour, they are still exchanging gunshots with the insurgents.”

On Tuesday, the insurgents attacked Bwalakila, a neighbouring village in Chibok Local government area.

The terrorists were later reportedly repelled by troops of the 117 task force battalion in Chibok, but not before they had loot tons of food items from the villagers.
