Breaking: Six People killed in a daring attempt to kidnap Apostle Johnson Suleiman in Edo State

The founder of Omega Fire Ministries, Int, Apostle Johnson Suleiman has escaped a deadly abduction in Edo State.

However, six people were shot dead in the dreaded attack around 3pm on Friday, 21 October 2022.

Standard Gazette gathered that those that were killed were three of his police orderlies, two drivers and domestic staff.

SG gathered that one of the passengers in convoy was abducted and forced into a nearby bush.

The Gazette's correspondent learned that Apostle Johnson Suleiman witnessed the entire assault but was able to escape the abduction with the help of his bulletproof vehicle.

After successful religious evangelism in Tanzania, the Overseer had just landed at Benin Airport, and on his way to his residence in Auchi, Edo State, the armed men ambushed his convoy and fired sporadically in a daring attempt to abduct him.

Though the man of God escaped, three policemen in his convoy and three other civilians, including his domestic assistant, were killed on the spot.

Our correspondent at the scene saw the bullet-ridden vehicles with the six dead escorts and blood stains at the scene.

As of press time, Apostle Johnson Suleiman is safe as he is currently in pain over the killings of his aides.

The Edo state police command is yet to make a public statement.

But a report from Auchi says that some of the suspects who carried out the dastardly act have allegedly been arrested.
