A fatal motor accident has occurred along Benin- Auchi Road, a few minutes drive from Egba junction in Edo state.
Two persons died on the spot.
The accident happened on Saturday, 17 April at about 17.20hrs.
The driver survived the accident with multiple injuries.
Some motorists in the area abandoned their vehicles to rescue other passengers.
The accident involved a commercial vehicle with plate number EKP 158 EX and a trailer with plate number AKR 16XE heading towards the northern part of Nigeria.
Men of the Federal Road Safety Commission have been called to the scene.
There is heavy traffic congestion on that route as motorists seek alternative routes to continue their journey.
