This decision was announced in a statement by Ofem Uket, the minister of state for power’s media aide, on Tuesday, December 6. Muhammadu Buhari has approved the formation of a new interim governing board to oversee the AEDC’s daily activities.

The federal government has now ordered that the strike be called off and that employees’ overdue emoluments and entitlements be paid within three weeks.
