*Buhari to be accompanied by six Ministers and three governors
The Nigerian Presidency says the country President Muhammadu Buhari will embark on a visit to South Africa, today, Wednesday 2nd of October, 2019.
The President will be accompanied by seven of his ministers.
The visit is at the instance of his South Africa counterpart, President Cyril Ramaphosa.

The Ministers include: Minister of Power Saleh Mamman, Interior Rauf Aregbesola, Mines and Steel Development Olamilekan Adegbite, Police Affairs Maigari Dingyadi; Minister of State, Industry, Trade and Investment Mariam Katagum, Defence Bashir Magashi and of course, his Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama.
Others in the company are Governor of Kano Abdullahi Ganduje, Governor of Ebonyi State David Umahi and their Plateau counterpart Simon Lalong.
The Presidential spokesman Garba Shehu said in a statement that the President intended to discuss Nigerians welfare during his visit.
He also said the two African economic giants will also exploit more grounds for Nigerians to promote relationships with their host country.
The government recently evacuated about 500 Nigerians from South Africa due to the xenophobic attacks in the country.
Shehu said Buhari will hold a town hall meeting with Nigerians in the country in order to hear their complains and reassure them of Nigerian government commitments to working for their protection.
“President Buhari and his host will preside over the South Africa/Nigeria Bi-National Commission, during which a progress report will be presented.
At the end of the meeting, both leaders will sign a joint communiqué,” Shehu said in the statement.
“The president and his delegation including Nigerian business representatives will also participate at a South Africa-Nigeria Business Forum with their host counterparts.”
