The daughter of Nigeria President, Muhammadu Buhari has finally reunited with her family after self-isolation for the past two weeks

She was self-isolated after returning from the United Kingdom.

Aisha, the First lady of Nigeria made the announcement via her verified twitter handle on Thursday evening.

Mrs Buhari announced on March 19, 2020 that one of her daughters had self-isolated even though she wasn’t showing any symptoms of the Covid-19.

The Ministry of health had urged Nigerians who recently returned from abroad to self-isolate for two weeks in one of its measures to curtail the spread of the virus.

However, the self-isolation period of the president’s daughter elapsed on April 2, and the first lady shared the news on her social media handle.

“It is a thing of joy & gratitude to Almighty God to reunite with my daughter after she had been in isolation for 14 days immediately she landed in Nigeria. While I’m wishing all those infected for a speedy recovery, I pray for the end of this pandemic,” she tweeted.
