The Parliamentary approval of appointments to public office by the President or other state officers is governed by the constitution of Kenya, the public appointments (Parliamentary approval) act, 2011, and the national assembly standing orders.
The National Assembly must conduct an approval hearing of the nominees to ascertain their suitability for the positions proposed and make appropriate recommendations.
