Canadian Based Nigerian Pastor Abducted At A Burial In Benin

A Canada based Nigerian Pastor has been kidnapped in Benin city, Edo state, Nigeria.

&The victim, Rev. Duke Oliogu who is in charge of Faith Assemblies Ministries, Toronto, Canada was kidnapped on Sunday 16th January, 2022 in the GRA , Benin city.

Standard Gazette gathered that he was seized around 9 pm during a visit to his in-law who also came from Canada.

The man of God was in Benin city to attend the burial ceremony of his mother in-law Mrs Patricia Ekuase Elabor who died last year.

Rev. Duke Oliogu traveled to Nigeria with his wife for the funeral ceremony which took place at an event center in the GRA in Benin city.

SG learned that the pastor was kidnapped barely a few hours after the social dance, an indication that, he was trailed to the area where he was KIDNAPPED.

No family member could volunteer any public statement as they are currently appealing to the KIDNAPPERS to release him unhurt.

Rev Oliogu also works as the Chaplain of Lakeridge Hospital, Oshawa, Canada.

His wife and children want their father to return to Canada safely.

They have accordingly appealed to both Edo state and NIGERIA government including Canadian Embassy in Nigeria to come to the aid of Rev. Duke Oliogu.
