Although, records of past engagements have revealed that, many of the projects awarded were either abandoned, irrelevant or not even started with available funds landing at individuals private pockets.

Given by the coming together of the two agencies of Government, they opined that, to stem-off the trending perceptions, they have designed a new framework, that brings together common elements, modules and components as well as providing the cascading style sheet for both the front-end and the back-end of the constituency projects delivery.

Delivering his remarks yesterday during a Constituency Project Town Hall Meeting in Benin City, the Director-General National Orientation Agency, NOA, Dr Garba Abari, said the New Partnership between the Agencies, is to ensure that, the vehicle of development is made to deliver the desired gains to the people.

He added, “Community ownership will ensure Legislatures and other officials of Government are alerted when there is poor execution of these contracts and they are also held accountable. Our partnership is to change the perception so that Citizens will begin to see the projects as theirs, and therefore, make the needed contribution that will help popularize democratic models of Government in the Country”.

According to him, all through the 20-year uninterrupted flow of democracy in the country, the concern remains to deliver the desired development to the people.
