The Edo State Government has ordered the closure of schools in the state following the upswing of Coronavirus (COVID-19) in Nigeria.
The closure includes primary, secondary and tertiary institutions and it’s to take effect from Monday, March 23, 2020.
This was contained in a statement signed by the Secretary to the Government, Barrister Osarodion Ogie.
The government advised that “While we enjoin citizens and residents not to panic, we call on them to adhere to recommended hygienes instructions on frequent handwashing and use of alcohol-based sanitizers as well as guidelines on social distancing.
