Two more people have died of COVID-19 complications in Lagos State Isolation centre, the State Health Commissioner said on Tuesday.
Commissioner Professor Akin Abayomi said this via Twitter this while giving an update on the virus.
Abayomi said the victims are male – A 54-year-old man who returned from India in January, and a 36-year-old woman with an underlying severe health issue.
The Commissioner, however, said that the state has not recorded new COVID-19 cases despite being the worst hit in the country.
The Health Commissioner disclosed that the victims had no previous travel history that would have linked them to any confirmed cases.
He urged residents to be wary and report to the relevant authorities, any issue about suspicious symptoms in their communities
Lagos State currently has a total of 379 confirmed cases with 260 being active cases.
The State had also discharged 98 patients and lost 16 patients to the virus complications.
