Coronavirus: Lagos Records Three Additional Deaths

Lagos State has recorded three more deaths from Coronavirus complications bringing the total fatalities to 10.

Professor Akin Abayomi, Lagos Commissioner for Health disclosed this via his Twitter handle on Thursday.

Abayomi said the deceased are three men aged 51, 52 and 62 respectively.

He said, “Unfortunately, Lagos recorded three additional deaths from #COVID-19 related complications. The deceased are males aged 51, 52 and 62.

“One of the dead; a medical doctor had contact with an infected person who recently returned to the country.

“Other victims have no travel history or record of contact with any infected person. Total #COVID-19 related deaths are now 10. I hereby urge Lagosians to remain vigilant and report any concern about #COVID-19 infection in our communities.”

The state announced the death of a medical doctor, Emeka Chugbo at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital on Wednesday.

The doctor reportedly contracted the virus from a patience he was treating at his private facility.

Nigeria for Disease Control had on Wednesday disclosed that Nation had lost 12 patients to the COVID-19.

This was after announcing that two new COVID-19 deaths were recorded on Wednesday without mentioning the state.
