Edo State has recorded 12 new cases of the Novel Coronavirus, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control said on Sunday night.
The information which was disclosed Via twitter also indicated that the state has discharged 13 patients and recorded 4 deaths.
The new cases bring the total number of COVID-19 to 79, making Edo State the 12th worst-hit state after Kaduna with 98 cases.
Currently, Edo state has a total active case of 62.
Nigeria has a total of 4,499 after 248 new cases recorded on Sunday night, according to NCDC.
Despite measures by the state governor, Godwin Obaseki, cases of COVID-19 has continued to rise.
The governor had closed down schools, relocated markets to more spacious areas in order to follow the guidelines of social distancing, currently has the sate under watch after the governor imposed 10-day dusk to dawn curfew.
