Three defendants, Success Peter, 32; Peace Doonior, 25; Tunde Mustapha, 35; Monday Ukpowa, 38, and an unidentified individual who were accused and charged for violating the curfew imposed by the State Government, yesterday, have the Nigeria Bar Association,(NBA), Benin branch to thank for standing in their defence.
Recall that Edo State Government had imposed 10-day dusk to Dawn Curfew to curtail the Spreads of Coronavirus in the State.
However, on Wednesday, the Task Force set up by the NBA, led by Matthew Edaghese and Douglas Ogbankwa were on the ground at the mobile court to defend two persons charged with violating the curfew imposed by the State Government.

Police prosecutor, Linda Samson, said three of the defendants were arrested while driving on the highway around 7.55 pm.
She further disclosed that the other two of the defendants were arrested inside a brothel around 8 pm in the state Capital.
All the accused, however, pleaded not guilty to the charges levelled against them.
Despite their pleading, Doonior and Success told the court that they were in their hotel room when some policemen burst into their room and arrested them.
Before the task force appearance in the mobile court to defend the accused, Douglas Ogbankwa had earlier written to condemn the jungle justice served the violators, thereby, giving room for the legal enforcers to rise to the occasion.
This, however, afforded the NBA Task Force, led by Matthew Edaghese and Douglas Ogbankwa, the Public Relations Officer of the task force, to make a sudden appearance at Uroukpota mobile court, Benin, to defend five persons who were accused of violating the curfew imposed by Edo State Government.
Ogbankwa prayed the court to strike out the charge on no case basis.
