Nigeria Centre for Disease Control has recorded 226 new cases of COVID-19, bringing the total to 6.401.
NCDC made the announcement via Twitter on Tuesday night.
According to the agency, of the 226 new cases, Lagos recorded the highest with 131 cases, followed by Ogun state with 25 while Plateau State confirmed 15 new cases.
Other states affected are: Edo with 11 cases followed by Kaduna with 7 cases; Oyo recorded six and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and Adamawa recorded 5 each.
Jigawa, Borno and Ebonyi states recorded 4 respectively, followed by Nsarawa with 3 cases, Gombe and Bauchi came next with 2 each and lastly, Enugu and Bayelsa states recorded 1 each.
Nigeria has also discharged a total of 1,734 patients and unfornately, lost 192 people to the virus.
