Cultists shoot, hack rival to death inside Lagos restaurant
Men from the Lagos State Police Command have detained three suspected members of the Klansman Confraternity for allegedly killing Eiye Confraternity member Akinola Ayegbusi inside a restaurant in the state’s Alapere district.
The suspects, allegedly out for retribution, followed Ayegbusi to the front of the restaurant while regular business continued.
The suspects, equipped with firearms and cutlasses, allegedly shot Ayegbusi after noticing him. The victim tried to flee by running into the eatery.

The six suspects were then shown in a video clip taken by the closed-circuit television system installed on the restaurant’s property, shooting and hacking Ayegbusi to death.
The video clip shows that the attack sent the security guard, employees, and guests who had come to the restaurant into a panic and racing helter-skelter to flee the murder scene.
After committing the crime, the suspects fled the restaurant’s grounds.
According to a source who spoke to our correspondent on Tuesday, when the culprits departed the crime scene, locals called the police.
In a statement on Tuesday, the state Police Public Relations Officer, SP Benjamin Hundeyin identified three suspects as Jamiu Rasheed, Emmanuel Samson, and Sheriff Module.
Abiodun Alabi, the state’s commissioner of police, is reportedly calling on parents, guardians, traditional, religious, and political leaders to persuade their wards to avoid cultism and other social vices, according to Hundeyin.
