The Delta State Police Command, in a significant operation, has paraded 123 internet fraudsters at the Ekpan Police Divisional Headquarters in Effurun, Uvwie Local Government Area of the state.
Among the paraded suspects were twenty-three suspected internet fraudsters operating under HK Ground alongside their laptops, mobile phones, mobile communication gadgets and other accessories.
The Delta State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), SP Edafe Bright, said the suspects were arrested by 3 Battalion Effurun Barracks and handed over to the police at Ekpan.
The PPRO discovered through interrogation that the suspects have trainers who they call Chairmen. The HK Group targets boys between 17 and 25 years old by luring them in the name of Forex Training.
The police said one of the Chairmen and other suspects arrested denied involvement in the crime.
SP Edafe advised parents and guidance to be wary with friends their children keep, pointing out that many suspects have been in the HK training school for over three months without contacting their parents.
The police assured the suspects would be charged in court after completing their investigation.
