DEMOLITION OF KIDNAPPER’S DEN: Edo Task Force Vow To Continue Exercise As Suspect Loses Inherited Property After Receiving 800,000 Naira Ransom

A middle-aged man, Oboh Odianosen, has been rendered homeless as his inherited property in Uromi, Edo Central Senatorial District, has been demolished owing to alleged involvement in Kidnapping, and other related activities. 

The property was demolished by the Edo state task force against Kidnapping, following the suspect’s arrest and confession to being a member of a five-man gang of kidnappers.
     
Confessing the crime before the demolition, Mr Oboh explained he recently received eight hundred thousand naira (N800,000) as proceeds from the ransom of five million naira paid by relatives of a kidnapped victim in Ekpoma.
       
Special Adviser to Governor Okpebholo on Security Affairs, Paul Akhere after supervising the demolition of the fourth property of kidnap suspects in the state, insisted that the Governor will not relent until Kidnapping is eradicated in the state.

On his part, Commander of the Task Force SP Michael Anetor noted that the suspects, who belonged to a five-man gang of kidnappers’ confessed to the crime and the task force had to enforce the law.
       
The Task Force reiterated its readiness to work round the clock to ensure the total eradication of kidnapping in Edo state.
