Despite Measures, Nigeria COVID-19 Cases Hit 1095

Cases of COVID-19 has continued to grow despite government measures to curb the spread.

Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) announced on Friday night, 114 new cases of the Novel Coronavirus.

According to the NCDC, of the 114, 80 were recorded in Lagos, 21 in Gombe and 5 in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), and two in Edo State.

The death toll has also increased to 32 while 208 have been discharged.

114 new cases of #COVID19 have been reported;

2 in Zamfara

2 in Edo

1 in Ogun

1 in Oyo

1 in Kaduna

1 in Sokoto

As at 11:30 pm 24th April there are 1095 confirmed cases of #COVID19 reported in Nigeria.

Discharged: 208

Deaths: 32

Out of the 36 states in Nigeria, COVID-19 has spread across 27 states including the FCT.

In the last 24 hours, number of new cases have increased by 114 while the number of deaths increased by 1,

NCDC said the 5 cases previously recorded in Lagos, are now recorded as Ogun State cases.
