In Lagos state, a dispatch rider was nabbed with a newborn discovered in his delivery box.
According to reports, the incident occurred in Lagos’ Sangotedo area, with a mob descending on the unidentified rider.
The rider was pummeled by a mob as he was brought to a police station, according to a video of the incident published on Twitter.
“This is the kidnapped youngster,” one of the people in the background could be heard saying.
The police have yet to comment on the incident, which has sparked debate about the state’s high crime rate.
The circumstances underlying the child’s confinement in the box were unknown at the time of writing this report. The news comes as a result of the outcry surrounding the death of a 22-year-old fashion designer, Bamise, who went missing after riding a BRT in Lagos.
