Edo Lawmakers on Wednesday Grilled officials of the Benin electricity distribution company and the transmission company of Nigeria over the lingering situation of poor electricity supply to Edo State residents.
This was a sequel to an earlier summon by the house after the motion of the epileptic power supply was raised during plenary,
However, the interaction did not yield a positive approach as the blame game between TCN and discos on poor power supply continued.

The lawmakers queried BEDC and TCN’s nonchalant attitude toward Edo residents’ complaints, demanding an explanation.
Other lawmakers queried the continuous collapse of the national grid.
A representative of the BEDC, Mr Jonathan Lawani, noted that the i management is working to resolve the issue, assuring positive development soon.
