The Nigerian Army has called on Edo State Residents to Come out in mass and cast their votes for the Candidate of their Choice on Saturday’s Governorship Election.
The Chief of Defence, General Christopher Gwabin, made this known while addressing officers and Men at the four brigade headquarters in Benin City ahead of the election.
The Chief of defence says that the civic responsibility of Edo State Residents can never be compromised.
There was. However, a Guard of honour mounted by Men of Four Brigade Nigeria Army Benin to usher in the Nigerian Chief of Defence Staff General Christmas Gwabin Musa, who was in Benin City on a working visit to sensitize his personnel ahead of Saturday’s Edo State Governorship Election.
Soldiers filed out in their numbers, listening attentively to the Chief of Defence Staff, General Gwabin.
Addressing officers and soldiers, the Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Gwabin, said the Army is apolitical in the election, and such personnel deployed for the election are expected to be neutral.
The Four Brigade Commander, Brigadier General DH Ndahi and other senior Military Officers were on the ground to welcome the Chief of defence staff, during this visit, according to Information, General Gwabin will meet with critical stakeholders ahead of the election and enjoined them to play the game according to rules.
He said the military won’t take any breach of law and order lightly and said Residents should go out and vote for anybody of their choice.
