Douglas Ogbankwa, Esq, a former Publicity Secretary of the Nigerian Bar Association (Benin Branch), has been awarded an Award of Excellence by Shalom Leadership and Bible Academy, a religious institution headquartered in Benin City, the capital of Edo State.
Ogbakwa is the Director of Strategic Communications for the African Bar Association (AfBA) and convenes several popular WhatsApp platforms, including the Intellectual Hub, Transparent Bar Initiative, Vanguard for the Independence of the Judiciary, and Security Situations Rom.
Ogbankwa accepted the award and said, “Honour from the House of God is the greatest of them all.” Ogbankwa is a highly accomplished individual in the legal field, having won numerous awards.
He was recognized by the Nigerian Law Students Association for his outstanding contribution to legal education.
Additionally, Ogbankwa is a policy analyst for the Voice of America and the South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC). He was also recently a Brand Ambassador for Law Pavillion.
Ogbankwa’s recent honour bears the age-long Aristocratic postulation: “We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act but a habit.”
